POSEIDON

Water billing and utility management for local government waterworks — from the meter in the field to the official receipt at the counter.

By Vivito IT Solutions

Running a waterworks means juggling thousands of accounts, meter readers spread across barangays, bills that have to be right the first time, and payments arriving at the counter and online. POSEIDON brings all of it into one system, built in Palawan for the way local government utilities actually work.

The whole utility on one screen

The dashboard answers the questions a utility manager asks every morning: how many accounts are active, what was collected, what is still outstanding and which accounts need action. Plain-language highlights sit on top, so the numbers explain themselves.

Every pipe, valve and account on the map

POSEIDON's GIS map shows the whole municipality: barangay boundaries, accounts, pipes, stand pipes, valves, hydrants, pumps and water sources. It works offline, so field teams can find the right valve even where the signal drops.

Residents see their water, too

The resident app puts each household's usage, bills and payment history on their phone — in English or Filipino. They can compare this month against their average, see every official receipt, and report a leak when they spot one.

A day with POSEIDON

Here is how one working day at a waterworks runs with POSEIDON, from the first meter reading to the last report.

  1. Out on the route

Meter readers head out with the Android app. No signal needed — readings and GPS locations are saved offline.

  2. A bill at the door

Bills print on the spot through a Bluetooth printer, with tiered tariffs and phased rate changes already applied.

  3. A leak, reported

A resident checks their balance on the app — in English or Filipino — and reports a leak down the street.

  4. Find the valve

The team opens the offline GIS map of accounts, pipes, stand pipes and valves, and goes straight to the right one.

  5. Paid, two ways

Payments come in at the counter with official receipts, and ECPay payments are imported automatically.

  6. Close of day

Collections reconcile and the daily and monthly reports are ready before the office closes.

  7. Planning for tomorrow

Demand forecasts, non-revenue water tracking and incident records are up to date — and backups run on their own.
